It all began with the two “founders” of Lickety Spritz — my male doodle Bear (right) and my female poodle Jazz (left), they were both rescues. One day while meditating, I was completely distracted by their body odor or “dog smell” when they sat down next to me on the couch after playing outside. And I had just. bathed. them. the night before. I thought, “Wow… I wish they could just put on their own deodorant.”

That moment sparked an idea: what if I could create them a safe, natural way to freshen them up between baths? When I searched for options, I couldn’t find a single product with ingredients I fully trusted — let alone ones I could pronounce. So, I decided to make our own.

I knew bathing dogs too often can strip their natural coat oils (which help keep them cool in summer and warm in winter), so the goal was clear: a gentle, effective spray using only plant-powered, pet-safe ingredients.

After countless rounds of formulating and perfecting, I shared our spray with friends and family to help out Bear and Jazzy's many, many friends & cousins — and they loved it. They loved it so much they kept asking for more. Soon, I was making bigger and bigger batches to keep up with demand.

And that’s how Lickety Spritz was born — with much love, a passion for helping you keep your home and pets safely fresh with quality ingredients, and a heartfelt desire to give back to those in need. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
